Streamsong Resort is a golf and spa resort developed by The Mosaic Company in Bowling Green, Florida on a 16,000 acre property near Fort Meade, Florida. The resort includes a 216-room hotel and three golf courses built on the site of a former phosphate strip mine. Fishing on various lakes and clay-shooting are also offered.

Location
Streamsong Resort is located roughly an hour southeast from Tampa, FL and roughly an hour and a half from Orlando, FL. The resort is located in Fort Meade, FL in Polk County. The nearest city is Lakeland, FL which is approximately a half hour from the resort. The address is 1000 Streamsong Drive, Streamsong, FL 33834. The coordinates for the resort are 27.6929° N, 81.9343° W.

Bass Fishing
Florida is home to largemouth bass. The Streamsong Resort offers guided bass fishing to guests of all ages. Fishing takes place on three lakes located directly in front and behind the resort. Guests are provided with experienced fishing guides and are toured on the lakes in boats. All trips are provided with Shimano reels, Bass Pro Shops CarbonLite Spinning Rods, and endless amounts of tackle and bait. Trips can be taken at mostly any times of the day, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM but can continue until dark. If guests are lucky enough to catch at least an 8lb. bass, their photo will be taken and they will be posted on Streamsong's 'Florida Bass Fishing Hall of Fame' website. There are over forty guests who have been lucky enough to catch an 8lb. bass or bigger. The tackle that is provided is all artificial and the guides will be sure that you are using the correct weight, lure, and color. These guides will not only put you on a fish, but will also teach you or your friends, family, and even children how to fish if they are beginners. From how to tie a knot, how to cast, set the hook, how to hold the rod, get out of snags or branches, and what tackle to use when you are fishing on your own. The trips can be extremely informational and the guides will fill you with fishing knowledge if guests are interested in learning. All fishing done is catch and release so that there is no harm done to the fish and that those large bass that are caught can be caught again. The Recreational Manager is Tyler Ramsdell. Streamsong provides over five fishing guides. These guides each have their own fishing style but all work together to make sure guests have the best fishing experience possible.
Courses
There are three golf courses located on the Streamsong Resort. The courses are named: Red, Black, and Blue. Streamsong Blue was designed by architect Tom Doak. Streamsong Blue has several elevation changes and multiple sand dunes. Streamsong Red was designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. Streamsong Red is a more open course than blue, it has 419 Bermuda grass fairways. Streamsong Black is the most recent course to be opened at the resort. It is a par 73 course. The course was designed by Gil Hanse, who also designed the golf course for the most recent summer Olympics. Streamsong Black also includes a putting course and a modern clubhouse with a restaurant named Bone Valley Tavern. The current rates to golf at Streamsong Resort is $260 for the public and $210 for guests staying at resort. These rates change based on the season. During all months except for certain times, golfers are not allowed to use a golf cart and are required to walk the course. This is to help keep the course in the best condition possible as golf carts can damage the course. Golf carts are allowed April, 1 through September 30, 2018 at all hours but on October 1, golf carts are only allowed after 11:00 AM. Golf carts help keep the golfers from becoming exhausted and dehydrated due to the high temperatures Florida reaches in the summer and makes it easier on those who may have a hard time walking long distances. However, the resort cares highly about the condition of the course and believe that by walking the course, golfers can enjoy the scenery and landscape that they are in. Hydration and shading huts are available for golfers to stop at on the course. Streamsong does offer rental clubs for guests who need them.
Sporting Clays
Located fifteen minutes from the resort is a twelve-station clay shooting range. The twelve stations get progressively harder throughout the course and offer many different lifelike bird and rabbit variations moving from left to right, right to left, moving away, towards the guest, and coming from behind the guest. Twelve gauge and twenty gauge Outlander Beretta shotguns are provided for the guests. Ammunition, hearing protection, and eyesight is provided to all guests as well. To begin a sporting clays trips, guests will meet their guide in the front lobby and then be escorted down to the range. Upon arrival, an experienced guide will go over a safety briefing before any shooting begins. The stations are set up in various locations that are placed in areas with views overlooking several different lakes. An off-road golf cart is provided to transport guests with their shotguns and ammunition to the different stations. Throughout the entirety of the sporting clays trip, guests will be assisted by the guide on how to improve and will be provided with many tips such as how to lead and follow, how to aim and look down the sights, and when to shoot. Clay shooting trips are very popular for companies, businesses, and large groups that stay or visit the resort. It is an activity that everyone can participate in, regardless of experience.
P205
P205 is a modern American restaurant that is located in the front lobby of the resort. Its name is derived from the chemical makeup of phosphate, which is what the area and Streamsong itself is notoriously known for. P205 serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Several craft beers, mixed drinks, and wines can also be purchased at this restaurant as well. This restaurant is conveniently located next to the front desk and the front lobby. This allows for guests and golfers to grab a quick meal before their trip or tee time or have a relaxing meal after their trip or round of golf.
Archery
Also located at the sporting clays lodge is the archery station. All equipment is provided, such as recurve bows, arrows, and targets. The strings on the recurve bows have 30lb pull or 45lb pull and guests can choose which one they would like to use. An experienced guide will provide a safety briefing and provide instructions and tips on how to load the bow, pull it, how to aim, and how to improve.
Golf Tournaments
Every year in the month of March, Streamsong hosts its invitational golf tournament. In 2018, Streamsong celebrated its fifth anniversary. Streamsong invites guests and golfers who have played at the golf courses in the past. Guests who are invited receive special gifts and all employees are dressed the same to embrace the celebration of the tournament. Streamsong also hosts high school and college golf tournaments.
Caddies
Streasmsong requires all golfers to be assisted with a trained and professional caddie. There are a total of one hundred and thirty caddies on the current roster, and the clubhouse will keep seventy five on hand during peak season. These caddies will carry all of the golfers' equipment throughout their entire round, make suggestions on what club or iron to use, and offer advice on anything they deem necessary to make sure the golfers are on top of their game. Streamsong's caddies provide a wide range of experience of caddying from locations in Oregon, Wisconsin, Michigan and many more which can be found at: http://www.streamsongresort.com/best-florida-golf/caddie-roster/. These caddies are independently contracted by Streamsong and several of them will locate to different golf courses throughout the United States at different times of the years to increase their experience on the game of golf with different landscapes and atmospheres. Streamsong suggests that caddies be paid $100 for one person, one round.
Lodge Shop
Just down the hallway on the left from the lobby is the lodge shop. The lodge shop is open from 8AM to 8PM. The lodge shop offers high quality clothing with Streamsong's trademark logo. Men's tee shirts, shorts, pants, sweaters, sweatshirts, hats, swim-trunks, belts, and sunglasses are offered, with a similar variety for women including vests, jewelry, and purses. Accessories such as wine and whiskey glasses and luggage can be purchased.
Workout Room
Streamsong provides guests with a multi-purpose workout room with up to date and functioning equipment. The workout room has treadmills and elliptical machines for cardio and fat burning. Several weight machines are provided as well that have the ability to workout all major body muscles. There is also a cable machine, free weights, and flat benches. Above the treadmills and elliptical machines are big flat screen TVs for guests to enjoy a show or movie while working out. Both cold and dry towels are provided in the workout room along with a water fountain. Next to the workout room is a ping pong table with paddles and ping pong balls provided for guests. The workout and ping pong room is open 24/7. All that is needed is their room card.
Basketball and Tennis Courts
Behind the resort and parking lot you will find a basketball court and tennis courts. These courts are open for all guests, all day. Guests who do not have a basketball, tennis rackets, or tennis balls maybe use the resort's equipment at no charge.
Spa
The Acquapietra Spa is located on the lower level of the resort. The spa offers body services with body wrapping and body scrubs. Acquapietra also offers a wide selection of facials, massages, and skin enhancements. There is also a salon that offers haircuts, manicures, and pedicures. Men can receive a haircut for $65 and women can receive a haircut ranging from $110-$135. The manicures and pedicures range from $50-$85 depending on the type. Hot tubs are also located in the spa. If you a happen to be a Florida resident, a discount is provided to you. Outdoor Pool: Located in front of the resort is an infinity pool that overlooks the resort's private lake used for fishing. The pool is heated to a temperature which allows guests to enjoy the pool whether it is a cold or hot temperature outside. Surrounding the pool are several adjustable reclining beach chairs. Guests have to choice of whether they want to soak up the sun or stay shaded as umbrellas and a canopy cover most chairs. There are a few tables by the pool as well. A bar named Hemy's is located poolside. Hemy's offers drinks and food for guests. Hemy's is open from 11 AM to 5 PM, however weather conditions can affect the hours.
Fire Places
Located in front of the resort are several circle fireplaces surrounded by chairs for guests to socialize while providing warmth and while helping keep mosquitos and other bugs away. These fireplaces are lit at sunset and are put out once all guests have gone inside.
Meetings and Conferences
The resort is equipped to hold large conferences and meetings. There are several conference rooms, which can be set up for virtually any type of meeting and any technology necessary. Located just outside one of the conference rooms, is a large patio overlooking the pool and one of the resort's lakes. Streamsong has the ability to provide companies with catering services throughout the resort. Companies who book to hold meetings will also have the ability to purchase packages for their employees, such as spa or recreation which gives employees time to relax.
==Restaurant Fifty-Nine== This restaurant is located at the golf clubhouse. It is fancy, high class, modern, and known for its steaks. The restaurant name was inspired by 59, which was the lowest recorded score in golf when the resort opened up. That score has since been beaten by one stroke now making the lowest score, 58. Restaurant Fifty-Nine is not strictly a steakhouse, as it offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It also offers a list of fine wines and spirits. The hours of operation for this restaurant is: 6AM to 10 PM. Mr. Brian Huppe is the Director of Food & Beverage at Restaurant 59 and Mr. Michael Ford is the Executive Chef.
Sottoterra
Sottoterra is a restaurant that is located in the lower lobby of the resort. Sottoterra means 'underground' in Italian, which alludes to the Italian influence that can be tasted in the food, as they offer pasta, sausage, pizza and other Italian entrees. The restaurant only serves dinner, but can also be a place of gathering for meeting and conferences, offering a full menu of drinks as well. The hours of operation for this resort is: 6PM - 10 PM, but only Tuesday through Saturday.
Hotel Rooms
The resort offers 216 total rooms divided into six different floors with views overlooking the golf course, the front of the resort, and the private lake in front of the resort. All rooms include a television for the guest's bedroom and then a separate television for the livingroom. All furniture and bathroom appliances are modern and fully functional. The soap and body wash provided comes directly from the resort's spa, Acquapietrea. A blow-dryer, an iron with an iron board, and complimentary robes are provided for the guests as well. High speed guest wifi is included as well. Guests are offered with a full menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner that can be ordered through the phone. A breakfast card is offered to guests if they choose to fill it out. The breakfast card allows guests to check off what they would like for breakfast along with what time they would like it delivered in the morning. All they have to do is place it on the outside of their door. There are several famous books shelved on the wall if guests are interested in reading. Books such as Moby Dick and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn are just a couple to name. Much like the resort, the rooms were also designed by Alfonso Architects. The artwork placed among the wall in the rooms are also the works of the Alberto Alfonso, the owner of Alfonso Architects. Guests have the ability to choose between queen and king sized beds.
Golf Course Guestrooms
There are 12 guestrooms located at the golf clubhouse. These rooms are similar to the rooms at the resort, but the views are replaced with golf courses. There is a pool table and a card/game table located in a room called the Albatross room, which is in the clubhouse as well. Guests who typically stay in these rooms are golfers who wish not to travel back to the lodge after their rounds of golf, prefer to already be at the course immediately once they wake up, or guests who wish to have a little privacy. These rooms were also designed by Alfonso Architects. Walking Trail: There is a walking trail that circles the perimeter of the resort which allows guests to enjoy the nature and scenery. This trail is roughly one mile long. Guests are reminded to be cautious of the wildlife they may encounter of the walking trail with the possibility of deer, armadillos, snakes, and alligators as there are many on the resort. Many golfers will part-take in a morning walk or jog on this trail to warm up before their round of golf. The trail has a mixed terrain with some sections in dirt, others in pavement, and a couple of bridges that overpass the lakes.
Bone Valley Tavern
This restaurant opened up with the Streamsong Black course in late 2017. It is located at the Streamsong Black clubhouse. It serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Bone Valley Tavern is a high quality pub style restaurant that is set up with similarities of a bar with large flat screen TVs and a fireplace, while providing many different beers. The hours of operation for this resort is: 6AM - 10 PM, but is closed on Monday for breakfast. The restaurant is named 'Bone Valley Tavern' because of Streamsong's location. While the mining company, Mosaic was mining, it found a great amount of dinosaur bones during its mining and drilling for phosphate. The resort displays some of its impressive finds with large bone artifacts of a Megladon, which can be seen in the lobby of the resort.
Valet
Free valet service is offered to all guests upon arrival, departure, or any other need at any time of the day for guests. Valet will also make trips for guest's vehicles for anything they may have forgotten. Since the parking lot is behind the resort, if guests would prefer to have their vehicle parked in front of the resort, they may choose to do so as well.
Shuttle Services
All guests are provided with free shuttle services at any time of the day. These shuttles arrive and depart from the resort and clubhouses every fifteen minutes. The reason for these shuttles is to transport golfers and their clubs and luggage to the golf clubhouse, as it is approximately a five-minute drive from the resort. The shuttles can hold up to sixteen passengers depending on how much room the golf clubs take up. The vans are black with the Streamsong logo located on the side.
Wildlife
Streamsong has a wide range of wildlife that can be found on the resort and around the golf courses. Alligators are the most prominent reptile found on the resort which attracts many guests who have never seen them before. The alligators on the resort can range from two feet up to roughly twelve feet. Armadillos, deer, boars, coyotes, eagles, vultures, duck, quail, raccoons, carp, catfish, turtles, snakes, turkeys, cows, doves, waterfowl, skunks, bobcats, panthers, fox, and frogs can and have all been seen just on the resort. This long list of wildlife covers a great amount of what can be seen in all of Florida, let alone just on a 16,000 acre resort.
Service Desk Store
Next to the front desk is the service desk store. The service desk store is where all of where food and drink cravings can be purchased. The store has a wide selection including gum, mints, trail mix, Clif bars, candy bars, cookies, chips, water, soda, and juices. This store is where you can also find those amenities guests may have forgotten to pack or ran out of, with items like toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, shaving cream, etc. All purchases that are made can be paid for at the front desk by cash, credit/debit, or just simply have it charged directly to your room. The hours of operation are 24/7.
